I’ve never seen a company spend so much time implementing bad policy. Our satisfaction numbers dropped at exactly the same time EOM was put in place. Now they’re saying they implemented it wrong......he guys that’s not it!!! It doesn’t work, quit listening to consultants not one idea from a consultant has ever proved out successful. Then there is express and ILR holy cow who couldn’t see that train wreck coming. Claims employees should work a claim from beginning to end period. When we were ACC and FCC we were the best now we are the worst. Wake up claims exec you don’t know what’s going on your middle management is running the company and employees into the ground. The best ideas come from our employees but now you stopped listening.......how’s that working out for you???

I recently left the company due to the "restructuring" but I lost count at how many times I brought up inefficient EOM policies that were put in place w/out actually talking to the people that DO the work on a daily basis. Prior to EOM I had a very strong track record of tweaking policies, making various system enhancements, and getting procedures streamlined but after the all-knowing, all-powerful consultants came, none of my suggestions were taken in to consideration. Metrics Manager is an absolute joke and to say that my department was being micro managed is the understatement of the year. I actually fell sorry for the people that had no choice (due to financial reasons) other than to stay after the layoffs.
A recent EOM refresh class, being told we are too heavily focused on numbers....AND they are still going to be focusing on the numbers. maybe not everyday you will be seeing your numbers, but they are still focusing on them. You are still going to be measured/judged by your numbers.

EOM is stupid. SF HAS MADE IT QUITE CLEAR THIS IS A JOB AND NOT A CAREER. So do they think we really give a sh-- about EOM. No we don't. We couldn't care less. BUT I'm getting paid to not work and listen to this c-ap. What a joke. A real savings of expenses.

Executive WAY to proud to admit EOM was a blunder. They’ll tweak and tweak and meet and talk about how awesome it is and the difference it makes.
All the while customers and talent leaves.

ACC and FCC were the best? My observation is that we could never figure out how to make either of these shared environments work so we gave up and tried another new model.
When we were ACC and FCC we were the best now we are the worst. ...WE WERE the BEST...so true and yet they still don't get it. I don't know what is hard for them to understand what is wrong, but they are focusing on the wrong things AGAIN.
Our policy holders aren't going to care if the QFC template is filled out correctly, or if we can handle a claim within 9-12 minutes and our ACW is under 6 minutes or if we can do 7 CR calendars per hour,8 estimates an hour etc, if we don't document the claim correctly for the jurisdictional letters and adhere to our schedule ...that isn't what is causing us to fail. IT ISN'T...so now they are trying to revamp EOM but it is EXACTLY the SAME the EOM as before....nothing has changed. AND WE ALL KNOW THAT.
The policy holders are going to care if their claim is handled correctly and accurately. they don't want to feel like incompetent nincompoops are handling their claims but that is all they have been given to handle their claims are incompetent nincompoops because of EOM.
Oh now they have brought in independents that don't have to do any of the above...but are going to cause a lot of rework because they aren't held to what a regular claims employee is held to, and yet we will be the ones that have our ACW work time go up, we will have to deal with angry customers because their claim was handled incorrectly or not all. and we will be held accountable if we don't clean-up their messes...the incompetent handling is never going to go away so we will continue to fail.
EOM doesn’t work at State Farm because it was designed for manufacturing plants, making widgets and warehouses, moving widgets. Not sweatshop callcenters, where every single call is different from the last. Rather than admit failure, Tips is going to hammer the square peg in to the round hole until it fits, no matter the cost. The 1980’s training videos they paid millions for are garbage but employees will be blamed for fast forwarding through the torture sessions to get the EOM certified designations. Good luck putting that on your resume, the rest of the world, outside of UPS,FEDEX, and Toyota don’t know what it is and they don’t care. Another leadership failure that $99,000,000,000 will cover.
Ur kidding right.......we have some of the worst leadership in the industry. The proof is in our policy numbers lapsing or dropping for the competition. If we were a stock company these guys would be gone
It is killing me to sit there for hours just waiting for a call because God help me if I want to be proactive and work something out of what F & S has me scheduled for. So, all day on the phone it is... Wasting resources!
We have some of the best leadership in the industry. Look at those fighting EOM and you will find the problen.
