Procurement is a complete joke. The worker bees remain in their roles while the management keeps patting itself on the back with multiple promotions. I still can’t get my contracts signed with 4 directors in the group lol

C-ap. Today I was called into my managers office. I was told we are laying off people to offset hiring new skill sets for cloud. 6 weeks severance and a gift card for Ohama steaks. Whoop dee doo!
If Citrix is hiring why is it that no one that I referred got a call from a recruiter?
Today, I watched a coworker of 6 years get laid off. She was escorted out of the building like a dog, in tears. Terrible!

Definitely smell a rat. They are hiring, not firing! After all, this is one of the most exciting times to work for Citrix, with the transition to Citrix Cloud, new acquisitions, and solutions.
Russian troll bot much? This is BS. If HR had conf rooms booked it's because we are closing out this promotion cycle or some related activity. Also, we don't do layoffs like what is described (lined up on the Principals bench) and we certainly don't show any damned spreadsheets.
Sales, Marketing and Finance. I work in sales finance and was laid off. The VP told me she is sorry but we had to please the shareholders. How very nice.
What teams did the layoffs come from?
Join the club. I was laid off Thursday and was told it wasn’t personal and that it was a strategic workforce reduction. They said many people will be asked to reapply for their jobs and told me I may do so. I received 4 weeks severance as well. The strange thing is that there was a line of 5 people forced to stand outside the conference room waiting to be escorted in and told by HR they were losing their jobs. It was like a human train. Odd way to handle layoffs for sure.
Ugh I was laid off this morning. I only got 4 weeks severance. I was told it was part of a global restructuring.
I was one of the unlucky ones laid off. Been there for 5 years. I received 14 weeks severance but had to sign a waiver that I would not speak ill about Citrix and will not work for a direct competitor.

I got laid off in 2015 and they do tell you because they give you a nice spreadsheet that shows who was laid off (not by name) but by age so that they can show / prove there was not an age bias.

I was laid off today. 8 weeks severance. I was told I am one of 125 to be let go. Also got a nice recommendation letter.
