Why stay? Just pack your bags and leave already.
I honestly don't understand some people. Why be miserable? Why stay in what many refer to as toxic environment? Just go. Find the greener pastures.
Then maybe when all the negativity is gone, we'll be able to start turning this company around.
I took the buyout and moved to a local company with similar pay but vastly better benefits than what I got at GE. I never realized how expensive the benefits were until I left. I had the skills to make that move and I’m glad I did. Life got better for me. Good luck to all passengers aboard the Titanic.
As someone who left, I agree. But I had to relocate to do that. Alot of people dont have skills outside of GE and are too intertwined in their middle class lives to go. But yah, go down with the ship guys. Schenectady may be a service shop at least in a couple years.
Because as much as they hate their jobs and the environment, they all know they can't do any better. In short, they know they've peaked at life. You get paid all that higher pay to not only do your job but to also take the abuse and toxicity. It's part of the package. If you want a high paying job that you love going to every morning, perhaps you shouldn't have dropped out of high school and got a GED instead. Your only option is to get bent over by the boss everyday for your high pay. Congratulations!!! You're a Working Class Blue Collar Wh--e and that's the best you'll ever be!! GE played you all for FOOLS!!!! You're in a bad abusive relationship and you're too afraid to leave and start over. You're nothing but servants but you believe that you're valued members!!
Turning around? The only thing we have left is negativity. We keep p---ing off our customers through bad service and poor quality. For every effort made to undo the damage, more stupid actions occur that cancel out the gains.
When all the negativity is gone there will be only empty buildings and parking lots remaining.
