Looks like we dodged a major bullet with Broadcom. I just read that CA Technologies, which they did manage to acquire, is getting ready to lay off 8,000 people! That's two thirds of their employees.
I don't think we would have fared any better if the acquisition attempt went through.

Look at your org chart. How many levels of management between you and SM? I’d guess 7. That makes 6 heads making $300k-$1M plus in total comp adding nothing to the bottom line. THIS is milking the cow, and that cow is a fed up shareholder.
Now look at QCOM stock over the last 5 years. Now AVGO. Who do you objectively think has the correct game plan?
