@URV6zAT-1doz - More accurately all SUSTAINING is moving to bangalore to free up engineers to work on replacement products and new innovations. sourcefire is a sustaining portfolio now.
R&D?
Good the faster they move everything to bangalor the faster cisco competitors get the remaining accounts.
There are plans to move all R&D across BUs to Bangalore by 2020. This may impact duplicate jobs in other geographies. Some BU like Firepower has started implementing the plan.
This is total c-ap. Cisco has learned to keep pocket layoffs under the radar, so they are frequent and constant but... Small.
HUGE is always a relative term. If 5 people in your 10 people dept is let go, then yes that is HUGE. But in the end, only 5 people got let go. AND if it doesn't effect Lawrenceville, then it never happened.
Cisco does layoffs in July/August and they take effect in Sept/Oct. So this is fake news.
Canada? Theater of the year?
Cisco is exiting the failed SPVSS business
I'm in CCBU in Bangalore and there are 3 positions created for JG 12 and 8 for JG 11. So Bangalore is growing.
