Is Bass Pro erasing the Cabelas product line?

We have had many Cabela's brand items switch over to the Bass Pro version this summer. Is it a matter of time before Bass Pro erases the Cabela's name completely?

It seems when I go, all of the Cabela's fishing stuff is being rebranded as Bass pro, and all of the bass pro hunting stuff is being rebranded as Cabela's establishing Cabela's as a hunting brand and bass pro as a fishing brand, just hope I can get a Cabela's advanced and backpack in time

Seems like the Cabela name is slowly being erased. We received a flyer in the mail and the Cabelas X4 walking shoe is now the Redhead X4 walking shoe. Our son wanted to replace his Cabela's winter coat, and there aren't any Cabela coats online to buy.

Cabela's will be the next Herters... Great Catalog that is now simply a box of decoys or ammo on a shelf.

For really great customer service, you need to visit a Scheels store. Their beautiful clean stores and friendly service remind me of what Cabela's used to be like before the greed and big-box mentality came to Sidney.

Rebranded? How do you know this?

The fellow outdoorsmen and women that I talk to

say that theyvare done with both.

There are BP products that are currently being rebranded as Cabela's. That would seem to be a silly thing to do if the plan was to "erase" the Cabela's brand entirely.

I am from northeastern Colorado and I have always found the sales staff at Cabelas to be extremely friendly. You are very much appreciated.

Me too! I especially like the outfitters who shy away from helping customers and standing in a line 10 deep with only 1 register open!

Seeing the ugly similarities to Cabelas and outright things being worse than Cabelas its only a matter of time.

The concensus from people that have taken jobs there and people who know retail is 3 years tops

LMAO!!! I thought I missed something or that maybe the moderator had removed some posts because the topic seemed to take a drastic change.

Sure wish this id--t would get out of here.

Has Bass Pro done ANYTHING that would cause a positive boost to sales numbers or even attempt to bring customers back into the stores? It seems to me that everything that has been done since the "merger" has hurt sales. Doesn't seem like a smart move by a company that just bought 4.5 billion dollars of debt.

I don't think so. I was in a BP store last week and it seemed as if they had more Cabela's branded products than their own.
