That is the same old talk, he has given many times already. Recycling old material...curious thing would be if 7nm FinFET is still on the dual roadmap!

What is TD Dept?
If you are in TD, you need to be ready for the worst. It is coming on Tuesday 08/28.
About future roadmap...good question!!
what about TD at SCG, is it still there or being let go too?
New GF tech road map will also be announced together with layoff.
Just heard from a friend that an entire GF TD dept in Albany was let go. On a Sunday??
Anyone who thinks this is fake obviously doesn't work in the fab or anywhere close to the actual wafers.
unbelievable !!! fastest cycle time in industry from M4 to Tech closure. less then 72 hours, even before closing celebrations.
Its weird how they have gone about this whole thing like business as usual. I've never seen this before and I've been through a lot of layoffs at different companies. But I asked my boss flat out and he said yea, layoffs Monday and Tuesday but he didn't go out and announce it. You have to ask them. Really weird. Supposedly severance package is very generous too.
Success comes in the form on contracts. Not M4 milestones, choad.
The announcement "to provide insight and transparency" promised by GF SMT.
Fake news. We just celebrated 7nm success on Friday 3PM.
