Case study on execution. Who did it better? It could be me but Polly product looks terrible. The packaging is awful. Any other opinions or explanations as to what is going on at Mattel? Does anyone on the inside know how it is performing?

Everyone who came from ES to NYC or EA claimed responsibility for being the lead on Monster High. It was the running joke since those that claimed authorship didn't have a creative bone in their body.
OMG that little troll didn’t invent monster high. Their idea was sooo different and when they tested it it bombed. They had to get real designers to give it a makeover. It just sounded better from a PR point to give the weirdos credit. And of course they started believing the hype themselves. That guy can barely draw, even less so his leftover troll twin. So please give credit where credit is due.
Regardless Polly and Moose who cares? Polly should have never been green lit. If it wasn’t for the massive guarantees that were required that losing proposition should have been executed by some other company with less baggage and layers than Mattel.

Moose Toys sure is the winner there, they just hired the inventor of Monster High who knows the industry so well to work for them in their Headquarters. Polly line at Mattel is a total mess, they randomly placed ex Monster High/ Ever After High/ DC SuperHero team members in Polly group after major restructuring. Nobody has any clear direction, everyone is unhappy.
