Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

More layoffs - they aren't waiting until Aug 30th

No one is immune. Don't think that you are. This will continue actively, and quietly, over the next 8 weeks.

I hate this... If I'm going to get RIF just do it already! Communicate timely which areas will be affected once for all!

If sales is hit in the next couple weeks, at what point does the impact to the bottom line become public? We are in 3rd quarter now, so it would very likely have an impact on 3rd quarter results, and definitely a large impact on fourth quarter results.

I would expect sales to not get hit until end of September to delay the public impact on revenue until 2019.

Do VPs get a "sweetheart deal" or are they lumped into the same severance policy?

There is no way this company sustains revenue with fewer sales people. More double digit reductions coming.

I know sales and marketing in the US have been hit hard but oddly the senior management have not seem to have been impacted. Speaking only for US sales I have 4 VPs with only 10 on the street sales people reporting to them? And they don’t seem worried! Hopefully it is they who go next! Not the revenue generating commission based folks!

What are the rumors or thoughts for what's next? XIM seemed to be hit hard last week, though it wasn't exclusively them.

I've heard sales may be next. I haven't heard about any impacts to engineering (yet.)
