Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Another benefit going away

“During the Q&A, Doyle also noted that Walmart wasn't doing a great job of maximizing the value of Castlight's platform.

"They had purchased a broad set of our capabilities, had not deployed wellbeing, [and] had not purchased or integrated any ecosystem vendors that we worked with," he said. "Of the five engagement fundamentals that we view as critical to driving ROI [and] long-term value, they'd implemented one."”

Am at HO too. We heard it was a pet project of the former SVP, not a manager. Castlight NEVER worked. Was supposed to let you know how much services were going to cost so you could price shop and be a better healthcare consumer. Instead, it gave out information that wasn't even close to what actual cost are.

New and improved senior leader is hopefully cleaning things up now to give us benefits worthy of our payroll deduction.

sounds like the company is saving money on something employees didn’t utilize. Get rid of Even while you’re at it. Or at least stop advertising it in break rooms etc encouraging bad financial planning.

Walmart already stated they would be replacing the Castlight benefit with something else that helps associates better. Nonstory.

All those programs are for those that try to reinvent an old program or copy another retailer to call it their own for a higher position or raise.

I worked in the HO when Castlight was implemented. It was a pet project of one of the managers. I remember them not being happy with the enrollment numbers in it. They thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. No one I knew signed up for it or used it.
