I know a couple of my peers who are currently using their vacation time to interview with other companies - especially competitors of Xerox. Would not be surprised if the number who jump a sinking ship for other companies is MORE than the number of folks laid off. Total numbers are guaranteed to sink.
Not sure HOW Carl or John will profit from selling a hallowed-out shell of a company that has lost all its key people. That part stumps me.
People who are remaining are saying f * * * it. No more "Ra! Ra! Xerox!" We are all worn out from picking up the pieces time and time again and doing meaningless work - all in the idea that "This time is different....greater...better...." Please don't tell me to fill out another annual and mid-year job performance review. Those things are a waste of time. You could be the top dog and be shown the door all the same.
