Who is the current President? Who resigned or was fired....names? Just curious
Well, they tried to spin the good news, and I suppose some of it is good. But where they fall behind is that they are not growing as other online institutions are. So there's going to be a lot of pressure to get students to enroll. The Prez mentioned something like 2 million prospects through the website every month, and they want to convert 7,000 per month to enrolled students. The PR lady is very pleased with the new media campaign. They are trying to make themselves out to be "the" place for working people to get educated. They are also looking at a move to a nonprofit status, but the Prez made it sound like that may be a non-starter for UOPX. Anyhoo, same old stuff.
I have to say I am impressed with the new Prez. I have no idea what he is like in real life, but he definitely puts across a vibe of trust and steadiness. You want to believe him. He sounds sincere. They really should put him in an ad campaign instead of looking backward to Sperling. So Ms. HR, if you are reading, take that idea to the bank...
