For one even if the plant “closes” Ge will probably keep a few guys from sfo to say it isn’t closed just until the contractual benefits are no more. And honestly I don’t think they have any reason to close anymore. They have a union that does whatever they want and is much cheaper then the union workers overseas. Especially with the workers overseas blowing things up left and right having the work constantly having to be redone. And the fact that we have more capibaility then any other plant they own. If every plant from every power manufacture wasn’t downsizing I’d say they meant to close schenectady. So if your waiting for the plant to close and that’s the only reason your staying you may just want to look for something now. Also if it happens it won’t be overnight it would take years. They keep crying there’s only 60 generator orders company wide. Ask yourself why are we getting half of them here and not split between the “6” other plants that supposedly can do our work. Good luck to all.

Ignorance isn’t keeping up with current events. The ceo has told the presidendent of France the job promises “are now out of reach” so before you go calling someone ignorant read the news paper. id--t
He’s already told France the jobs are not going to be created. The only thing France is waiting on is wether they decide to fine Ge or not. Look it up nothing to do with the union. And if you think 30 million is a lot of money poland just blew 60 mill on Job on rework.
Switzerland plant is a goner. France is next. They’ve proven they can’t do our work. We are here for the long haul.
He has to create jobs overseas! If the union is feeding your head with this line of BS your as ignorant as they are or a company blow hard. Ahh another week of 15.10 a week waisted
