I was hoping to get laid off and maybe get some time off to look for a long term, career job. A real job. But now I hear that they are hiring enrollment reps again in California and Arizona. Dammit! What happen to all those layoff rumors?!!

Let me guess, the 4 main hubs are in Cali and Phoenix?
If you hate it there, leave. There's no better time than the present. It seems there are more employment opportunities out there right now. The organization gets more dreadful every day. Student enrollment is not growing, and you're asked to adjust more, adapt more, and do more just to bring home a paycheck. Your morale is drained so much that the thought of going in every morning is unbearable. The "higher-ups" don't care about you. You're there until they find a way to replace you with an "efficient" system or with people that will come in and do your job for less money. It's not worth the stress wondering if you're going to make it past the next round of lay-off's. Start looking elsewhere and leave as soon as you can!!!
Very true.
If youre not in the 4 main hubs(campuses) you are most likely going to be laid off. Don't let a few new hires in those main hubs deter you. Also, ALL NEW HIRES WILL MAKE LESS THAN YOU. So if they hire or not makes no difference if you make more than the new hires you will most likely be laid off or fired because they are trying to cut cost at any corner except their own jobs (executives). A few new reps will not change the layoffs.
