I'm just wondering if there is any way for Kmart to separate from this sinking ship and try to go at it alone once more?
Or are we well past that point by now?
It seems like Sears is intentionally being run into the ground, and if I can I'd rather not be a part of it.

Sears was never going into bankruptcy. That shows you have no clue. They were very profitable, up until Eddie bought them. Eddie's plan was to use them as a cash cow, in order to drive up share prices of ESL, and fund further acquisitions. But that failed, because he blew all the cash, and underfunded the stores whose profits he was relying on.
Ya’ll talk like Kmart merged with sears. No Kmart was already owned by Eddie when sears was going into bankruptcy and Eddie then bought sears. Technically sears merged with Kmart. Kmart had already gone through a restructure and was doing ok. Eddie is dragging all of us down.
As I said in a previous post, Kmart and Sears are both going down together because Kmart was stupid and desperate enough to join up with Sears, otherwise Kmart would have been dead A LONG time ago.
All that the merger did was put Kmart back from completely dying but never fully revived the company and now the sickness is coming back yet again but this time there isn't going to be another company that is going to bail out either of these two. The game is over.
No, and I think the troll forgot that Kmart was in peril before it merged with Sears. There is no turning back for neither.
