The back office could stand to lose 30% of headcount. Bigger companies operate on a leaner staff. Then again, those companies usually don't staff id--ts.
CAPEX getting moved around for 2019, probably “right sizing” some areas, seems like we have a heck of a lot of geologists, IT managers, and redundant folks after asset sales. The whole back office group is a joke and totally mismanaged— from IT to accounting, my guess is that’s gonna get cleaned up. In the downturn, it wasn’t a big deal but now that we are working, those groups need to be less miserably useless.
If you’re twiddling your thumbs, making PowerPoints, or sitting in meetings more than 25 hours a week, probably going to get let go.
When is the next town hall? It's usually a week or two before then.
