I don’t believe it in the first place.

@1qun, why should we listen to anything you say regarding retail when you cannot even spell the retail names correctly? You are apparently ignorant of anything retail.
@UJ6Vvy0-1hfm I said would, as in the future, right now people 35 to 55 are no longer shopping at Sears either. Khols has filled that gap quite nicely. Khols also attracts the next generation that are not looking to pick through the junk at TJ MAXX . Looking at the social state of the young currently and how quickly they are replacing older shoppers Sears has no place in the future retail market. Even Wal Mart is appeasing shoppers that are moderately upper income with their partnership with hudson's bay as the lord and taylor brand concentrates more and more on online sales. Companies are making transitions that will appeal to younger people when they become middle-aged. There is no viable space for Sears in that market.
Hey shill, it's SS KRESGE.
If you're going to rewrite history and blame others for your idol's stupidity , at least spell the founders name right .
Oh, so now its middle age and younger people's fault Sears is collapsing? That's rich. The current middle age generation are huge shoppers. KMart and Sears gave them nothing they wanted.
If you think this company is going to go a quarter without any layoffs you have drank too much of their koolaide
My question is why don't you believe that layoffs are coming? Can you answer this with reasoning beyond SS Kresege's legacy lives on or Sears is Strong? The one thing you seem to be missing is that young people since the early 80's in the US have been taught via public schools and university academic opinion that legacy means nothing. (unless it applies to something they like)It's why we have mo--ns that think socialism is a good idea running around in the streets demanding statues be removed. The "legacy" of a retailer to the current young side of the middle class means nothing, integrity also means nothing to these people. Everything is disposable and should be replaced if it does not fit my worldview, is the thought process of the people who Sears would have to depend on to become profitable. These people are not shopping at Sears, they are paying capitalists money for hammer and sickle t-shirts and ruining Spider-Man by making HIM non-binary. The social state of the country is enough to crush sears, the company's financial state is even worse. Taking both into account, again why would you not believe layoffs are coming?
Ummm ... when the company you work for has a share price of $1.31 and going down everyday, there are probably going to be layoffs or perhaps complete closure. Doesn't take a degree in economics to see that.
I read an article that said JC Penney is doing worse in the stock market than all other retailers of its type right now. Except for Sears Holdings. Think about that for a minute.
Believe because of history. For the last 4 years after every quarterly report their have been layoffs and/or store closings. believe what you want just don't be surprised
No one really cares if you have your head in the sand.
