More changes coming to AP. An anonymous survey was sent to all AP ASMs on their time spent on operational roles. With shrink increased, accidents increased, apprehensions down, they may look to reverse the new role back to APM.

If that's what you think we do all day your sadly mistaken. For one we don't count coupons that was simplified yrs ago. If accounting does what their suppose to from audits, researching, reports, operator tracking log, raaf, stamp log, retention, tax envelope, rexycler maintenance, replenishing, vault audit, list goes on. So our day is not spent sitting. You have really built up anger towards accounting. You need some help you can reach out to resource for living. Hope you get to feeling better.

I’ve been shocked for all these years how the higher up doesn’t do much, but they never have time for anything. It’s because they don’t know anything!!! Look at the stores! You have that many managers per store and they look like the store manages them! Wake up home office!
I am a personnel manager and I tend to see Assistant Managers always degrading us and APMS and making comments like we sit on their As all day and do nothing: <Most of these Assistants talking smack can't even properly read and write. They need help with their 3rd grade level glms computer task. But Yet we are the ones getting cut next...

Trust me this survey was not to help AP in anyway or make them only APM again. A friend of mine is a Sams Club store manager in Florida. He told me that Sams Club sent this same survey to their APMS right before they laid them off, and done away with the position. Look for APM ASMS to be banded just like the CO-managers. Writing is on the wall. Get out while you can.
I totally agree accounting goes away that front end will fall apart.
Walmart doesn't care about shrink or shortages obviously because they are laying off all their accounting associates. I was just told this week that I would need to find a new job in 60 days. What the big wigs don't understand is that the cash office associate usually is the glue that actually keeps the front end running. Solving all the issues with the recycler and calling field support, electronic payments etc. Cleaning the machine so it doesn't break down, fixing jams. Sure this can be done by other people, but other people can a) don't care and busy with other things 2) are scared to do anything 3) are too stupid. Most of managers in my store can't even properly put their CFT in the system without asking for help. Let alone solving errors. Walmart made a real stupid decision to cut the c/o.

The more shrink the big check from insurance companies. They wouldn’t have self check if they cared! They would call cart round up every night same time. People know what time every night when store is empty. Wake up!
Yeah, Walmart is to worried about being number 2 and trying to be like all these other companies and have lost focus on themselves. If the Big wigs at the top would actually have common sense and talk to actual stores instead of running everything by computer input they would see that these idea’s are insane. And if people would give the big wigs actual feedback instead of just saying yes it works when it doesn’t, that would help. But then again common sense isn’t so common anymore.
