Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

MI-SWACO goes from being worlds #1 fluids company to money losing basket case business under SLB leadership

M-I SWACO has been "TRANSFORMED" into a money losing fluids company after being the worlds #1 fluids company for years. Sheer incompetence by PK and his band of executive imbeciles.

To that id--t saying M-I is now better off with all these young nobodies in charge - at under half the revenue and no profits? Yeah great, amazing job. All those "dinasaurs" actually knew the business and had experience, not just happened to be from a certain country or minority and needed an Ops job in their resume. I suppose the 50k people SLB laid off in the last year were also dead wood. Thats half approximately, and they took half of the companies revenues with them !!!!!

Same thing happening in Cameron right now although the AP program has not been implemented here yet

The MI ex president who was promoted is a Schlumbertron

Nobody from MI or acquired companies gets promoted in SLB

If you come from outside you are dog meat and your only way is the highway

The results since AP was implemented in MI have been stunning. MI ex President was promoted to a global President position very quickly.

The process definitely works but why is it invitation only? Very elitist

The AP system is true quality vs lean and 6sigma bogus systems

That true now after a brutal fight internally to get introduction of AP system to MI which is now finally generating quality managers and the business is starting to turn around

Fake news

MI is the most profitable business in Schlumberger and growing like crazy especially with all those young aggressive and energetic engineers now in charge. Much more dynamic than when it was full of all those Texas dinosaurs from legacy Smith. Glad to see the back of those r----ds.

Paal has really taken the company to a new higher level beyond any ones wildest dreams

Yes, put a bunch of college boys in charge. That’ll fix it! Typical SLB mentality. Experience means nothing to them, and that’s why M-I is failing.

Make no mistake about it. PK has driven and destroyed the Smith acquisition. He alone is responsible.

PK wasn’t the one that bought Smith.

The Florence Ky manufacturing plant has been totally destroyed by SLB. Everyone hates their job, quality is an absolute joke, and management only cares about their bonus check. It's sad to see.

We will get the cost down once we get rid of all the overpaid dead wood mi people. workflows, sops, and energetic graduate young engineers can run this and indeed are doing so in many areas. Its the digital age now and time to transform and move on. Be back at #1 in no time at all

The last time they made a big mess of a mud company they ended up selling it. Will they do this again?

Who would buy M-I SWACO now and would PK accept such an embarrassment to his personal credibility and leadership???
