Cisco announced its results yesterday.
And you can guess it, the team mgmt is already talking about layoffs all across.
What I learnt is, they will again get rid of anyone who is 50+ (mostly american citizen) and bring in H1B in their positions.
I was courageous enough to ask this question to my mgmt and they were very upset.
As per them they can make a person on H1 work more by threatening him of layoffs and deporting back to India. But they cant force this culture on american workers.
I was later called for a 1:1 and was threatened that I will be replaced with a H1 worker if I try to open my mouth again.
The reality is there are plenty and plenty of network engineers available all across country but Cisco only wants to hire H1 holders so that they can exploit them to the fullest
There is complete H1 Fraud at cisco.
I am originally from India and I feel ashamed that all Indian Mgrs / Directors at Cisco are doing this purpose fully to bring in their own family members to usa.
