The stock hit 12.52 and is at a fresh 52 week low. Glad I got out of it in the Savings and Security Plan at 32. Just feeling bad for my fellow co-workers who have continued to believe management’s hype.
It is all basic math. Immelt increased the debt by $80B when he bought and sold $100B in biz and didn’t properly fund the pension and now the chickens have come home to roost.

A fundamental rule of investing is not to hold your employer’s stock in your 401k. If the company tanks, you lose not only your income but potentially your retirement savings as well.

No body takes GE seriously any more. They need corporate overhaul with CEO from out side. I am one of those stupid ex employees that still holds GE stock in 401k.

Wow... now at a fresh 9 year lows as of the last few minutes at 12.39. Looks like the stock might be on its way to the 2009 lows which were in the $7 range. JP Morgan has been saying they think the stock is only worth less than $11.
