I don't think that I work at Mattel and I posted most of the messages. I was smart enough to leave when I saw it was a failed business model.

I agree, Mattel is failing thanks to the idi*ts working there, as evidenced by this message board.

Trump's tax cuts - 82% went to the richest 1%. He didn't pay for it, so the debt the middle class will pay back with tax hikes in the future. Meanwhile the economy was at 5% when he gave the rich their tax cuts. Now the economy is overheating and interest rates are up. All loans and credit bills hurt the middle class. The tariffs are paid by US Importers at Customs, which are passed down to the US consumer.

I make a lot of money so I benefit from the wealth transfer from middle class to me, but tariffs will not save anyone money. That just doesn't make sense.

President Trump's tariffs will save Mattel a lot of money. This is a good thing.

Whoever just said food is based on country of origin is full of bs. Food has no issues in determining country of origin, because it is where it is grown. All products are subject to country of origin, not just food. Try reading: https://www3.donaldson.com/en/supplier/compliance/origin.pdf.2017-07-07

Lots of id--ts on this blog. No wonder Mattel is failing. Country of origin is mostly for food.

Mattel plays the shell game now with intercompanies to keep tax rate low so same will be applied to tariffs.

Probably small impact. Large companies play a shell game and never ship directly from China (on books).
