Does anyone else work in Shared Services? Morale is poor, it’s so quiet because everyone is unhappy, one of the leaders has a huge potty mouth and she walks around all day gossiping. It’s a terrible environment to work in. We had “calibrations” and some of the leaders judged their direct reports on what clothes they wear and their political views. One person was identified as a low performer because they challenged the status quo and don’t you dare stand up to the queen bee!

The Shared Services in my VP management chain is also screwed up. Very low morale, no interesting work and a screamer at the managing director level. The shared services are all screwed up
There are so many shared services and in every VP level group . Regardless , they all operate with the same boys club mentality and are desperately looking to collect as much money as possibly before the sale of the company .
DH does not care about the company . The creep just wants his millions so he can sleep with boys in Havana . DH has sunk morale to the sand and EM is ignoring it as long as he brings in results.
Get ready for a rude awakening
"it's safe to say what I think" and "ctx supports a work life balance" are two principles which are flagrantly ignored these days. Ctx acts as if you should be super grateful to have a job, while in reality everyone is just waiting for the severance package.
Unfortunately ive seen similar attitude changes in several managers after MT's departure. Its definitely gotten worse after DH took the helm. While I don't directly blame DH it's something he will need to address.
