AMENAs B2+population needs to be cut dramatically, and focus resources on actual top line growth & innovation. PepsiCo has become a financial company just living for the EPS and focusing on dividends. All the focus is on profit and not growth. What a waste.

I've been to AMENA several times. It's amazing to see the number of people and layers. What a waste.

90% of B2+ population there is just doing reporting and "alignment". Unnecessary layers being paid loads of cash. Finance is full of it.... All these "transformation" people. Dubai needs to be trimmed... All these expats just want the lifestyle and can't hack living in Egypt. Same with Hong Kong. It shouldn't exist... There is no need for it.

Also... the rumor is the purchasing group in AMENA is loaded with people who are just cosy with the VP in Dubai. Apparently he is pretty focused on promoting people who kiss his a--. I see lots of incompetent people booking in phantom productivity in PowerSteering.

Very rightly said. There are a lot of waste in AMENA. Banded "business savvy" people meeting and meeting and meeting and b s*ing and "aligning" and presenting decks and decks while the real work is being done by the field guys. The regions in AMENA should be wiped out as they are just an extra "alignment and reporting" expensive layer that slows down decision making.

There is a lot of truth about a lot of people doing reporting, layer upon layer and not much else. But this is in all sectors. It shows that there are some serious malfunctions within the organization as if the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing and therefore tries to get their legs and feet to pick up dropped objects of little value!!
