Preach diversity, but have no more than ten black employees and twenty Hispanic employees at any given time. We don't want to get too colorful, if you get my drift.

Drink the Kool-Aid. (Yeah, I know it tastes like c_m, but smile and ask for more.)

Grab the mic at any town hall or team building meeting and tearfully refer to Anadarko as "like a family." Give your name and department. Make sure your manager and VP hear it. (Higher execs won't remember your name, so they count only if your manager bask in the reflective sycophancy.)
(Yeah, we know you mean the Corleones. It is, after all, only business. It's not personal.)

Stick to the script during analyst calls. But for God's sake don't actually read the script in advance. You don't want anyone think you're stupid enough to believe what's coming out of your mouth.

There's only one commandment needed in present day Anadarko operations: Whatever a responsible, ethical company would do, do the exact opposite.
Dropping names and vulgarities will get posts banned, but it's odd they took down the entire thread. Makes me think the eye in the sky at Anadarko is watching and actively petitioning the administrator to delete things.
