Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Target makes a move

I've read in several places now that Target is making its move on us when it comes to online sales. Apparently they are either nearing, matching or beating our prices lately.

My biggest worry is that if we start losing online sales to them, those on top will focus even more on online segment to fix that and have us in the stores pay the price for it once again.

They've been cutting into transport for years. In the mid west, threy've been contracting through Scbneider since at least 2008.

Honestly that’s likely. Walmart needs to be very careful. They need to not cut too deep and forget that their bread and butter is the 5,000 stores that they need to keep stocked and operating efficiently. I heard they cut $2-$5 Billion out of the transportation side. That’s insane.
