Has stated that the company is about to call back 80 union members back. Then lay them off again in July with a total of 240 union members getting layoff some again and some for first time. Then they will call some back to get laid off again, and again. Meanwhile members will get bumped to lower paying positions and will loose $3-$4 an hour with no advancement or upgrades for 3-4 years. With the stellar healthcare plan! With the superb retirement plan! Looking forward to the mini vacations our union dues are paying off!

I’m not a fan of our union but the layoffs have nothing to do with them. You just had bad timing on when you were hired. And from the sounds of it your not one of the trades. I recommend learning a trade and getting into sfo. You may have better luck.
301 is a scam!
The company has the union hall so afraid, and running. They won’t even walk the floor and tell the membership what is really going on. The company has the whole facility’s morale so low it is sad like a competive wage pay and retirement benefits! When I came over from battery plant I thought this would be where I retire from, 2 layoffs later now this! The Local 301 is as bad as the company!
