Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Will F5 India and Guadalajara lead to layoffs?

Is F5 India and Guadalajara being grown for shifting resources to low-cost countries, meaning more layoffs in Americas?

It looks like IT and PD teams are moving to India and Guadalajara.

Spokane people have fewer alternatives so companies hiring there needn't worry much about offering competitive salaries and they needn't pretend to care about work-life balance.

That makes sense. Well, the price for hiring someone is insane in the Valley and in Seattle. FAANG have literally pushed the envelopes in terms of salaries which makes it harder for F5 to compete and keep operating margins low.

I doubt it. I think the expansion into India and Guad is more about hedging against the ludicrous Seattle and Silicon Valley employment landscape. I've been involved in some hiring recently, and feel like the people who are from SEA / SV are almost delusional in their expectations - even the new grads, and if I hire them I know they are just going to move on in a year or two. I think SEA and SV tech employees brought this on ourselves. I noticed they are hiring juniors like crazy in Spokane, because it's cheaper and the Spokane people are supposedly more loyal or something. Even Amazon has figured out that SEA and SV are unsustainable, with its search for Campus 2.
