Someone is buying Frame.
Surprised?
Someone is buying Frame.
Surprised?
Nutanix?
Confirmed that Microsoft is buying San Mateo based fra.me software. They have also been having talks with workspot in Cupertino to buy them. Looks like the noose is circling the floridiots and they don’t realize it yet.
Microsoft's business model has always been to make something that is just good enough and then under cut the competition using their marketing clout and installed base.
Probably has been in the works for a while. Maybe why KT left?
It's a surprise.
Rumor has it that Microsoft is buying Frane and that is the reason there was no Microsoft exec at synergy this year. Think about it, with frame it’s self-service $20 per user/per month plus compared to citrix professional services installation costs and then lock into a minimum 3 year contract for a cloud service.
It’s no wonder this is attractive to Microsoft .
I can confirm Frame. They got multiple offers and decided to sell.
Frame and Workspot are both hot targets for the cloud market.
VDIPro survey results shows that Citrix is losing mindshare for cloud deployments and these startups are growing like weed.
Frame on AWS. Think about it.
It’s microsoft. End of the road for Citrix.
Juan will copy Frame features also and say - there is no innovation.
Like he copied the browser feature from Armor5. Took the idea and now takes credit for it. The problem is that most guys at Citrix have been here for 10+ years. They have never worked at a startup so they don't know what it takes to build a company from scratch.
Atleast the netscaler crowd now at Nutanix knows the value of startups.
They showed fake data in the VDILikeaPro survey. 80% of the Frame data came from Netherlands.
Citrix M&A is a bunch of bozos. Unidesk because it was going down. Cedexis for 60M because it ran out of money!
So not Citrix!
Who? My money is Citrix, MS, or Google.
