Going down with revenues of $22 billion even after apple, huawei bs going on? I doubt it. Even AMD got saved. Qcom just needs new c-suite. Look at how Lisa Hu saved AMD - we need someone like her.
Engineers are being used as buffers to protect the jobs of SVPs and above.
They eat through this buffer every now and then during layoffs and rehire to keep the top protected.
What good is a fuxking SVP GM ..when there are no actual engineers to work on..

Agree, also hiring quality has gone from bad to worse. Each engineer hired is a scapegoat for a subsequent layoff. Why risk your career at Q? Why join such a currupt company?
Most engineers think of mobile revolution and Qualcomm’s contribution thus far. But little do outsiders know the toxic work env. There is racism, extreme lack of merit, age discrimination. Most dir and vps have no respect for engineering/innovation. They just want slaves who will bring them millions and are easy to dispose/layoff.

Calling Q a titanic is a shame for titanic! Agree Q will die, but it will be slow death. Engineers will be treated as dead weight/ used as life jackets for the directors and vps who can do whatever they want. Once all engineers are scapegoated/dead then the vps and dir will, and that will take time.. so become a vp/dir and your life is set. Else anything u do can be replaced.
I left this sinking ship last fall and it was the smartest move I have ever made. I was with the pmic vi group and it was one of the worst teams at QCT. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this poorly managed company, or if you are already there and thinking about leaving then just do it. Don't hesitate especially if you are with the pmic vi.
People have been talking about $80 for a decade. No way. Why wait... sell now.

I was laid off, but I am similarly glad to be out. So tired of the Caste system BS. Supposedly, it doesn’t exist. It does at QCOM and I think some managers are selected because they know how to bully those from the supposedly, “lower levels”.... Those who know their place and worship their masters will be promoted.
