Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Warehousing Team

Made some questionable moves that have significantly impacted the business. After the reorg, the average age of the team went up! There is a bunch of 30+ year guys hanging on by a thread. Chilled warehousing is a mess and the senior director couldn’t tell you 3 things going on in the field. The JC site has seen a few talented people leave and will surely lose more once the previous leader gets established. The warehousing team doesn’t have a single viable option for internal promotion to Director. What is it exactly they accomplish in succession planning meetings??? Sad to see our company lose talented people because 30+ year maxed out vets are the focal point for future developments.

Layoff notifications started 06/16 for Cognizant contractors who are currently not on any special projects. I'm am a Pepsico employee and our team is currently training our replacements in India. We have about 6 months left. Our team is the first. This will eventually happen to ALL non-TCS contractors and ALL IT employees. In 1-3 years IT at Pepsico will be gone. New Directors have been brought in to head this project. I'll bet they're not outsourced!!!
