Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Where do you think Layoffs will not happen?

Not talking about Job specifics but rather which areas are hiring? We are expecting some office closures this year. We should see other areas hiring more to fill the gaps. Then it would curious to know if they are contractors or not... contractors are easy to get rid off for the next rounds toward the end of 3rd qtr.

So far, I've heard the SE and NY are going to be getting hit. No idea how significant or if that info is truly trustworthy.

If you are popping in to just tell me to start looking for a new job now - or - want to complain about VPs/Managers/Mismanagement - please don't.

"Windstream is a growth company now" - growth for corporate greed. Customers and employees are fleeing, stock price after reverse split still dropping. Any other ideas, Tony - except resigning???

Run for the doors boys and girls. The shorts own this company. Stock will be worthless by end of year. Sell while you can. 13 billion in debt, No way out!

@ Tea Bag Tony - nice try... lol. I heard Little Rock will be closing their doors.... to thoughtful ideas about how to be a successful company. So far all you gotta do is get rid of the talent and the customers/$$ follow.

Can't wait till the last billion dollar loan comes due.. and win is forced to default

Stick price has NOT risen to $5, it has fallen to $5. There was 5:1 reverse stock split, so take the current price and divide by 5 to get the real picture.

To the original poster...I don’t think anyone is safe at this point. We are drowning in debt, sales have fallen and they are cutting wherever they can (with exception of upper management salaries).

I don't think you have to worry unless you are an under performer. Windstream is a growth company now, the stock price has risen to $5 a share recently, indicating we have finally made the big pivot.
