Gee, if you are asking then I think you do not care about making a polite departure.

I suggest giving 72 hours notice. With 72 hours notice, employer must be able to hand you your final paycheck on the way out.

Drag out Q for months by WFH all the time.

Judging by recent very thin status reports, that is actually going on !

Working From Hawaii getting popular. Easy to find good parking the WT structure most mornings.

Not easy to get volunteer layoff

Volunteer for layoff, you may get a severance. Do not talk about new job offer.

You must give your manager 2 weeks + 2 weeks for every year of employment

Tell your manager you are reviewing your income and that there are no sacred cows. Draw things out as long as possible for no reason. Set a meeting at an inconvenient time with no subject. Invite along an HR person for kicks. Explain to your manager that unfortunately you have to layoff the company. It's not a performance issue, just business. Thank them for all their hard work and give them the rest of the day off.

you're willing to forgo the next RIF and severance payout? I say stay, work as little as possible and get ready for the August RIF. or maybe ask for the voluntary severance and see what management says.

Why quit? Just work both. Drag out Q for months by WFH all the time.

If you're just a regular employee, then 2wks. If you're actually a holder of secrets or important and have become deeply rooted in the flow, then you could give longer time.

If you're at one of the sites where Q is killing off people, then 2wks or 1wk. Burning bridges is bad, but doesn't matter if no one is left to remember.

Agreed. 2 weeks is norm, no need to be an a--

Unless you want to be an a--... right to work means you can get and leave whenever you want. Maybe during an important meeting? Just get up, cuss everyone out and leave (remember to give up your badge and make sure desk is cleaned out the day before)
