Thread regarding Rite Aid Corp. layoffs

How are they picking which stores to close?

I have heard that more Rite Aids that were bought by Walgreens are closing this month and in June. How are they picking who closes and who stays open? Please share where your store is and when your store is closing and also the reasons you were given as to why you were chosen to close vs stay open.

This was asked by @TdKht6f-5hty in another thread, and I also would like an answer. I just hope it will get more views and hopefully answers as a thread of its own.

I heard that Walgreens is only keeping about 10% of the Rite Aid Pharmacists from closures. Can anyone share their experience either being selected or being denied a position? Summer is a tough time to be looking for work as a RPh considering all of the influx of new Pharmacist grads flooding the market.

If your Rite Aid is across the street from a Walgreens you are going to close.
