Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Nepotism Is An Understatement

I've been at the Farm for over 5 years and have nothing to show for it. I'm so bored with my position that is not going anywhere, they give raises to the people who 💋 their @$$. The management is one of the most incompetent that I've ever had the displeasure of working under. I was so stressed that I literally became sick physically, it is absolutely disheartening to see such a once great company get demolished by a bunch of morans. Common sense is not so common at the Farm, I'm doing what I need to do to put myself in a position to walk the hell away and never look back. I hope they offer me a package, I would take it in a New York minutes. I'm looking forward to the day when I get a great job that will pay me for my worth.

“What did you expect going to work for an insurance company? I have never worked for one”

How and why are people who don’t even work at SF find this site and then proceed to comment on it? GTFO

What did you expect going to work for an insurance company? I have never worked for one, but I would suspect that "Excitement" is the lats thing that insurance companies would want, and someone going to work for an insurance company should understand this. That you don't, even after 5 years, tell mes that you are immature and unlikely to ever become a mature individual.

OP, I'm guessing you've never worked in another corporate environment before SF. Hate to break it to you, but SF is no different than any other large company.

At only 5 years tenure, any severance package you get will be between 5-8 weeks of salary. Best to be walking now rather than wait for a "package".
