a large portion of QDT is going to get axed at some point. But no word as to when. Execs don't care much for the employees trying to plan their life.
According to multiple sources who are in the know Oct. is the next major layoff, Small layoffs will continue until then, that is in addition to any NXP based consolidations.
The monthly 'quiet' layoffs continue while the next big one towards end of the year. Need to wrap up the financial year with more SAVINGS !!
Not done yet.
Synergies, lower revenue, pressure to meet FY19 guidance all mean continued layoffs. QCOM no different than MOT, NOK, ERIC, etc...QCOM good days long gone especially with a short sighted mgmt team and weak bench
OP, don't you read the posts? It has been written zillions of times here. More layoffs are on the way. 1B$ cost saving they promised in January cannot be reached by 1500 people in CA. They are selling divisions (server), and more are coming. Wait until 23rd of July when NXP is bought. After that the nightmare will start
Too many managers/ middle men… Unbelievable.
coming in June.
Next round in early planning now. Snr Dirs being identified for 'retirement' ahead of wider layoffs. Look for some senior/older folks to 'retire' this summer.
When'll people learn there's no safe from layoffs at Qualcomm...
