Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Malignant execs

Please share your experiences.

I argued about improving products rather than finding excuses and was told to shut up by engineering leaders.

Why are messages deleted? Someone mentioned a good word for JR and the message is now gone.

Can we trust this site? Is HR watching every update and paying layoff.com for IP addresses. Are they smart enough to figure out things like global proxies and VPNs. Do IT people in florida understand how Tor works. Do Trump followers and racists understand the meaning of anonymous forums.

The top execs are making like $10 million a year and more as the stock goes up. All they care about is pumping the stock price. They don’t care what happens to Citrix after they cash out. They will be set for life after one or two years.

Can't get auth service to work? It's down every month. Fcukin problem is florida engineers use .NET on Azure. Who the hell is does that?

All silicon valley companies use linux and open-source for cloud apps/services except citrix. Florida engineers wrote desktop apps. Love .NET. Now they are building crap cloud software.

If XA/XD cloud service has 20k customers, how many VMs and DBs are we running? Distinguished engineers and VPs should be fired.

Citrix people don’t know desktop app from client server from 3 tier web app from microservices. They don’t know Citrix Cloud from AWS from Azure. Multi tenancy, data base segmentation, network segmentation. RBAC, what’s that? Citrix don’t know.

Every company needs a Silicon Valley location to hire good talent

How many bleeding edge cloud companies are in Florida? Even senior distinguished engineers don’t understand the meaning of cloud and multi-tenancy. There is no company keeping a separate DB for each tenant. Except XA/XD cloud.

I left because I saw the ship going down! Nothing against the execs but I was tired of living in old 10 year old codebase.

Networking is done for. The leadership team is gone. The Floridiots have taken over. It’s all about the Workspace now.

The execs only want the cheapest body available for a position. They don’t want to pay for skill and definitely don’t want anybody with a free thinking mind. The company engineering has gone down the toilet.

I have the feeling that middle management teams are creating artificial problems to affect the productivity and quality of the products with the main goal to put in troubles the senior execs.
