Is this true? Haven't heard anything about it outside of this.

I was one of those affected. Lost my job after 20 years. No warning. Manager read from a script. Goodbye Avaya. And good riddance. I feel sorry for myself...it was a good paying job with great benefits. But I also feel sorry for those left behind. It isnt easy sleeping at night knowing your turn is inevitable. That's how I slept for the last several years. Annual layoffs at Avaya. Your turn will come.
Just heard Avaya is laying off all Field Techs in the States sans one tech for each time zone. Monday morning, State side, all techs will be directed to their nearest Kinkos, where they'll be a nationwide coin flipping contest until just one tech is left for each time zone. Any ties will be decided by staves until there's a single victor!
No such thing in EU. Good wins every month, all targets achieved for Q1 & Q2. How the cuts can happen?
Yip! Cut cut cut. Sweat the assets and hope customers remain dumb enough to keep paying. Look at this demo of what's coming in the future ..... unreal
