From time to time I pop over to Walmart’s page since usually anything that happens here will follow over to Sam’s Club. Our Accounting Lead last day was November of last year. We still have two PT accounting associates but they split 20 hours a week. As a front end supervisor at Sam's we handle setting up new associates, CFTs, cash advances/pickups and at times checking in and out tills for other associates and depts. That's it. Only accounting associates do the reports and any vault bags. They already rolled out this to every Sam's Club. As a side note... Our cafe cash handlers are also our responsibility to balance. Walmart does have self checkouts that take cash... Probably be pushed off onto you and the PTers...

As a current accounting office associate, I would like to thank you for your comment. You said it all in one paragraph. It seems that some people in my store do not fully grasp the severity of what is fixing to happen. Oh how they will be surprised when this is fully implemented.

I, too, am curious as I'd be affected. (I'm an opening CSM) ANY additional tasks would be a hardship. I heard earlier that June 8th was the last day as far as FT accounting associates. We still have a PT one Saturday and Sunday plus the FT one Mon - Fri. We will be in hot water if this comes to pass. The associate who is FT knows more about the recycler and cash handling than we CSMs and even our front end ASM will ever know! It is beyond me how they could be a level B considering all that they do.
