So... Walmart hired someone to head up Optical only. Not Pharmacy, Optical only. Market managers were informed, but it has not been announced to anyone lower than MM. I wonder if Optical is splitting from Pharmacy. Why would they only announce this to the market level? Anyone got anything on this?

We've been informed that the health and wellness market will be realigned to give the market managers 20-22 stores a piece. There is no way that a market manager can manage 20-22 pharmacies and vision centers. They need to have VCAM'S in every market and pull them up from their home stores and make them a market position to help the market managers when this happens. If not, one department will suffer at the expense of the other with the increased work load. I do hope they've taken this into consideration.
Mony Iyer - he used to work for onesight (lux’s non profit arm). Doesn’t join company until Jul 23rd though, by the time he does assessing, and decides where to make changes will likely be q4 reasonably. Keep in mind the executive leadership in H&W made huge changes in specialty once divisions realigned, and his is actually a very similar role to one that we had 2 1/2 years ago. At this time all the conversations point still I aligning the divisions and not splitting them.
