Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Twinsburg building is downsizing

We will be consolidating into one half of the building and the other half is being rented out to new tenants. Do the math?

That building is bad news! You might can get a settlement out of it in 10 years.

Heard much the same in our group meeting yesterday.

Now:

Owen Brown: 66 seats @ 50% occupancy

Twinsburg Bldg 1+2: 458 + 208 seats @ 57% occupancy

Then:

Twinsburg Bldg 1: 458 seats @ 94% occupancy (around 90% after staff reduction, but the published data says everyone fits)

This is true, we will be moving everyone into building 1. We were told this today 6/26, in our IT team meeting. One person asked the director 'where we gonna put them all? ' Her answer was, ' by the time they are ready to move over to this side, there will be room.'

Since we move from the asbestos building in hudson to twinsburg, I always said twinsburg was just a holding tank until Windstream moved everyone south and/or outsourced their jobs...speaking of asbestos...does anyone know how dangerous and the ramifications for working in that environment? Many employees developed some kind of cancer...employees who worked in that building...that building was not available for a very long time...

Sounds like you guys will either have a bunch of new cube neighbors or no cube coming up soon. I wish you all the best. Unless you have the chance to become a manager, telecom isn’t a career for you anyway.
