Do we get state unemployment with layoff package

I’m planning for the fall layoff and asking if anyone knows when we get state unemployment .

With a layoff package can you get the state UI right away or is there a waiting period?

Also if citrix gives a 3 month package do you get UI benefits after 3 months or right away.

In California the state issues these visa CBT cards so it is convenient to spend on cigarettes and booze . Most m-r-j-a-a dispensaries in Santa Clara also take CBT visa so many Citrix folks are looking forward to being layed off.

you are eligible to receive UI benefits in California immediately. in Florida you have to wait till the package period is over. So for example if you have a 4 month package the state will make you wait 4 months before you can collect UI.

Not sure when state UI benefits kick in. I heard the California is very generous so it does not matter what the company package is. The CA UI kicks in retroactive from the first day of the layoff. You will get you $1200/mo CA UI regardless of the layoff circumstances.
