Has anybody filed unemployment with California EDD yet? The form asks for "Last day worked." Are we supposed to put May 4th or June 19th?

Did they tell you that you are laid off but don't need to come into the office? If so, are you still getting paychecks even though you don't have to come into work? On your last day, June 19th, you will get a severance letter and a bunch of other paperwork to sign, etc. That severance letter will list your severance amount, any vacation/sick pay you are due, as well as any health insurance stipends (if they are still giving those out). You can effectively apply for unemployment that same day, or the next if you want to wait. I applied the same day I turned in my badge, keys, etc. Just know, that as long as you still receiving a paycheck from QC, you cannot collect unemployment. Also know that, although you have to report your severance amount, unemployment will NOT count that as regular income. You will have to report it though. Been through this in 2015, so just trying to help you out with info. Hope it helps.
Haha what a bunch of troll answers. Can’t believe the folks that reply here. Instead of helping you’re choosing to bring down this community of this website
Correct answer is May 4 since that is the last day you physically went to office.
Correct answer is 19 June. You're eligible to apply 20th June.
Yep, Jan 1st, just filed and got my debit card.
last day on payroll counts and not the last day at work.
Put January 1. You’ll get more money.
You volunteered, your not eligible for unemployment.
