Team environment but held individually accountable...

Is it just me who finds team environment in claims to be a non sense? If they have us handling claims in team environment how much control do I have as an individual only touching a claim once? Some claims are such a mess that only a SM can turn them around!

My favorite part is how the people that mess up the claims are rewarded for high metrics because they cut corners and cheat the process while those who have to clean up after their shortcuts, inattention to details, and complete ignorance of compliance regulations have their metrics suffer because they have to take hours to clean up and fix a single claim. Then they get told to be more like the person that's causing the problems and creating these nightmare claims.

I know right, don't know about you but it gets real tiring cleaning up other people's messes. We have no control over anything but we are expected to soothe people down that have been victims of poorly trained handlers f-ups, that wears me out, and it's day in and day out.
