I got my notice today for 2 months out as last date. If I leave before will I get severance?

Can we make termination date earlier?
Submit a form to HR?
How many got impacted in QDT?
Laid off in 2015 and we were not allowed to leave before our final date. Had to work through the entire 2 months or no severance.
@TDqTn6t-lly - Good answer, and correct. As long as you've transitioned all your duties, and are beyond your "Last working day" requirement (this was communicated to you by your manager who offshored you), fill out the form and get it to HR. It will be approved (as long as you don't leave Qc with lingering tasks) , you can take a new job, and the severance is in tack. Qc will pay you with WARN money until the date you consider 'your last day'.
The internal transition site doesn’t give all the details.
The internal transition site answers all your questions.
If you find a new job try to have your start date in 2 months and enjoy your 2 months paid vacation. That’s what I did.
If the new company doesn’t want to wait then Qualcomm has an early termination form that you fill providing your new termination date. Once approved (all have been approved so far) your termination date will be moved from 2 months in future to the date you decide and you still receive your severance package 35 days after your new termination date. Your healthcare coverage will also move to the end of month of the new termination date.
That’s the best and legal way of doing it.
Don’t have the temptation of taking another job and be on 2 payrolls if Qualcomm finds out you loose the 2 months, the healtcare coverage and your severance.
Good luck
There is a form I got which allows to put in earlier termination date. It also indicates severance will be given.
No - if you leave before the date given, you will not receive any package
