What’s the latest in L-3 Waco? Tech Pubs Department is now gone, Export Compliance is now gone. Seems like the only thing holding Waco together at this point are the two commercial aircraft. Word is GVL won’t sell Waco as they don’t want competition on their back door. Any other news?

It boils down to this, waco, you have one pathetic contract that L3 cannot get out of and is losing their a$$ on. Waco is not sellable. Keeping waco open as meager as it has become.....by doing this they are preventing competitors to take up shop at that facility. If they could have, they would have flicked THAT booger a long, long time ago. Yes WACO...I called you excrement from the nose!

Never mind the process got updated 6 years ago, we ain't readin no stupid document now, we KNOW how to build this.
We shoot ourselves in both feet every day. Management may be stupid enough to shoot us again, but WE ARE ALREADY LAME. They are just wasting ammo.
Waco has a management that has taken everything away from a great workforce that proved itself to be exemplary over and over. We the employees have paid the price for the managers and all supervisors included to remain for whatever time is left for a sinking ship. What a waste! What goes around comes around .

GVL also experienced bad workmanship on the P-3' contract. Waco had to send a team to GVL to move the contract to Waco.
RJ aircraft first we finish them on time to we fired the supervisor informed mechanics and we transfer them to Waco so we're still good

You newbies at GVL need to go ask an old timer there about the saudi Md-11 contract. You screwed it up SO bad, the customer ordered STOP WORK and fly them to Waco to finish. They were NOT happy with you guys!!!!!

L3 only owns 2 buildings the rest are Texas Tax Payers money and rented from the College, as long as they make their cheap rent payments they can hold the would be competitors at bay. Dwindle the workforce so that if someone does come in and rent the buildings there is not talent left in the area to start up competition. Classic move, pretty smart unless you are a employee that has a family and rely on a good job for the work you do and can not afford to move. That is big business for you, it's about the stock price and bonus's. What would happen if the site unionized.. probably be put out of its misery or if everyone walked out at a given time and date to show solidarity to be treated fair on the way out. All good ideas to get Mgt to wake up in NYC.
