Interesting that when I got a manager review I got a sheet of "one'liner" comebacks to counter all the negative news from wall street. How BBB has so much money... How BBB is going after furniture business... How BBB is strong because of our people... Wall street only looks at dollars and not at our direction... Very strange. Like they are trying to make me ignore the facts and reality of the company's trend because we can cater to "heartfelt events". I don't see any dollars in that.

Keep documentation! I was under the same circumstances - placed on PIP after many years with no bad reviews or warnings. Out of the blue, I received a negative review and placed on PIP. I had all the documentation I needed to go straight to the top and prove a hostile work environment and harassment. The Company backed off fast and I was given a handsome severance package on my exit a month later. My DM had been backed into a corner when I pulled a file out with statements from managers and even recorded conversations of him making inappropriate comments about employees and how I made too much money. My best decision was to leave BBB, but the games are still being played even more now. Document what you can and play dirty when you have to. I can tell you, they were completely blindsided when I didn’t just roll over.
I was put on pip .after 13 years never a bad review.no longer with company ,i felt it's was discrimination let see how my attorneys finds out.
Yah in the same boat, but I have kept documentation of everything written down. I plan to use it for a age discrimination case, guarantee that I am going to be replace with an hour supervisor with keys. That s what a company does when the are on downward swirl. It may take five years to win, but it will cost the company more than it would to have let all of us stay:)
Poor poor people, they think your all idiots
I am guessing the pip is because your salary is too high for them to justify. It is sad.
Was anyone else placed on PIP after their review? I’ve been a SM for almost 10 years now with no write-ups or any bad reviews. When I asked what reason I wasn’t given a direct answer, only that every DM should have at least manager on PIP.
All a smokescreen.... good luck
