Sooner than some of us expected, but layoffs at NetApp have definitely started.
From what we know so far, New England and Canada are being hit.
Anybody here have more info on other sites and more on the numbers we are looking at?

Is that clown who leads the Wichita team still around? Goodness, he has chased off more talent than any exec I've ever seen. Hopefully they adresss that, there's some good people in that org.
Jettisoning the sales pogues? interesting when leadership went "all in" on a Millenial Sales model. Nobody with external/real sales experience... etc.... this product does not sell itself, you need people who understand how to sell the value, and it's laughable to say that they didn't have the chops. Clearly, they didn't have the chops because they were hired by people not backfilling senior folks with equally senior folks. One senior AE/SE leaves, and they backfill with two or three junior/intern level pogues. They just threw bodies at it. they have been telegraphing this punch for nearly two years now and it finally comes back like we all knew it would.
Jettisoning sales pogues was a wise move. Those who sell just a product vs solutions must go. Most of those inside sales pogues didn’t have the background required to sell solutions. Many of their historical transactions resulted in escalations post sale. We are better than that. We also need to cut deadweight leadership starting at the top. Eliminate redundancy and promote within if required. Especially those lacking motivation and drive.
Well there hasn't been a stop in the last several years. Don't see any reason why it would stop.
