2017 Layoffs -- Anyone hear anything on bonus payout?

I was laid off this time last year, and was told by my very trustworthy HR talking head that I would be entitled to a partial bonus for working 1/3 of the year. I was wondering if anyone on here that was laid off last year has heard anything on this or if you were fed the same thing from your HR?

I am not really expecting them to honor their "word", but thought I would find out what others have heard.

Yes trolls, I know the financial situation the company is in, and I should be thankful I have another job, blah blah blah.

I expected a bonus from GE Power this year. I left under VJRP last July. I contacted payroll, they say bonuses have already been paid. Looks like HR was mistaken about paying bonuses to those who left last year.

4.5% of 1/3 year's salary. Depends on which division of GE power. Apparently nuclear made the numbers fairly well.

What percent of your annual salary was your prorated bonus?

It just showed up. It's such a small amount of money....I was gonna argue but then remembered they have no reason to care if I am happy. I was expecting like $800

I was laid off last year May 1st. Worked for nuclear division. Got my prorated bonus a month back. Contact your HR rep. if you still have contact information.

I got a bonus and was laid off after a third last year but it was a really small bonus. Under $400

I was told the exact same thing last year when I was laid off. So far I have not received anything. Like you, I was not really expecting them to keep their word and figured even if they did any partial bonus i would receive would be peanuts given the abysmal year GE Power had.
