A lot of things are discussed here, but there has been little to no info on the most important thing: layoffs?
Does this mean that no layoffs are coming so there is nothing to talk and in turn worry about? Or are we simply going through a period of calm before the storm?
I'd appreciate any info, if somebody knows anything.
I could not agree more with previous comment. Get your resume ready. Senior managements surround himself with a bunch of yes men with no back bones. These people have never drilled a single successful deepwater well in their lives yet kept getting promoted. JD is a bully and people around him bend number to make it looks good. Smart people left the company long time ago. If you say something he doesn't like, you are the next one out the door. This is not the same regime as a predecessor before him. Smart leader surround himself with smart people. Well, do I have to say more?
I'm a previous employee so I don't know ow anything about any potential layoff coming your way or not. However, do yourself a favor and if you don't have a resume, put one together and test the market to gage any interest. You may very well be surprised on a good way. There's never a better time to test the market than when you have employment. Also, Noble is a poorly run company with senior management that at best struggles to operate the company at a level anywhere close to what they're being paid to do. Look around the building there and you'll see a tremendous amount of people who are no longer there who left on there own and are doing great. Good luck.
